What is a Highest Monster Card (HMC) in Digimon Master Online?
A Highest Monster Card (HMC) is a special EXP item in DMO with three tiers: HMC1 (enemy Lv.100), HMC2 (enemy Lv.115), and HMC3 (enemy Lv.130). Each card battles a progressively stronger enemy and grants EXP based on the level difference between the enemy and your Digimon or Tamer.
At what level do Highest Monster Cards start giving EXP?
HMC cards begin granting EXP at Level 71 for both Digimon and Tamer. Below this threshold, all HMC cards grant exactly 0 EXP regardless of type or boost.
How does level difference affect HMC EXP in Digimon Master Online?
DMO uses a stepped bracket system — not a simple percentage per level. The EXP acquired ranges from 0% (dead zone) to 200% (maximum bonus) depending on the difference between the enemy level and your level. For example, if your Digimon is Lv.140 using HMC3 (enemy Lv.130), the diff is -10 and you receive 40% of base EXP. But at Lv.145, the diff becomes -15 and drops to 30%. What is the HMC EXP dead zone in DMO?
The dead zone occurs when the level difference is -30 or below, or +30 or above. In these ranges, HMC cards give 0 EXP. For HMC3 (enemy Lv.130), this means no EXP once your Digimon reaches Lv.160+. Plan your card usage before you hit the dead zone.
What is the best HMC to use at different levels in DMO?
At Lv.71–86 use HMC1 (enemy Lv.100 gives a large bonus). At Lv.87–102 HMC1 or HMC2 both work well. From Lv.101 onward, HMC3 (enemy Lv.130) becomes optimal and stays effective until around Lv.155. The calculator automatically selects the most efficient card type for each level range.
Does being in a party affect HMC EXP?
Yes. When in a party, the base HMC EXP is multiplied by 0.75 (75% of solo). This means solo grinding is more efficient per card. Use the party toggle in the calculator to compare both scenarios before planning your session.
How much do HMC cards cost in DMO?
